Research On The Construction Of Chongqing Carbon Trading System

In recent years, the involvement of low carbon trading main body gradually has been deepening, low carbon derivatives also presents a trend of diversification. In order to be in the low carbon economy tide win a space for one person, related organizations in China have been vigorously promote the clean development mechanism (CDM) project development. At present, our country in the clean development mechanism project has also made certain achievements, the CERs index trading is in the top of world.As one of the six old industrial bases and the only municipality in the western region, Chongqing is also faced with the cost of urban development-depletion of resources deterioration of the environment. How can slow down the destruction of urban development on the environment and resources and make the whole ecological harmonious? Low-carbon economy is the inevitable choice of the future urban development. Chongqing is the first batch of countries to determine the pilot cities for the development of low-carbon economy. Either in funds or related policy, Chongqing has been given strong support.This article combines with the actual development status of Chongqing, sees low-carbon economy as an opportunity, and puts forward to build the conception of system of carbon trading in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It introduces a kind of efficiency mechanism in the process of constructing to emission right as the main carbon trading market-futures and options market. It can not only achieve efficient carbon emission reduction, but also can enliven the financial market in Chongqing.This paper first introduces the related theories about the establishment of carbon trading market, elaborates the current development situation of domestic&international carbon trade and their successful experiences. Secondly, If Chongqing constructs the carbon trading system of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, it will give the necessity and feasibility analysis. Then, it elaborates Chongqing to establish a carbon trading system idea and specific conception. At last, it gives some suggestions about the construction of Chongqing’s carbon trading system.This article mainly adopts the following research methods:first, from the clean development mechanism project abstract analysis to current practice; then, combined with the theories to put forward specific ideas, finally to build low carbon trading system providing a theoretical model and promote carbon transactions.
