"Energy saving" is not only the foundation of the industry sustainable development, but also a hot issue concerned by all works of our lives. Compressed natural gas (CNG for short), a green and environmental energy source, has a good economic and social efficiency. However, the CNG technology in our country started relatively late and the existing CNG filling stations have the problems of high energy consumption and low efficiency, which restricted the development of CNG industry seriously. In this paper, energy consumption analysis and evaluation were performed for the production of CNG filling stations and effective energy saving steps were determined and feasible ways were put forward.According to the cureent main problems faced by CNG filling stations energy consumption, this paper analysed the energy consumption forms and links for the technology and equipments of CNG filling stations and the calculation method of different kinds of energy consumption and put forward energy consumption of unit sales analysis method. In view of the CNG production and characteristic, combined with the theory and method of life cycyle assessment, a theoretical system of energy consumption of CNG filling station production. Energy consumption in the production and its influential factors were identified and some energy consumption steps were determined. And then energy consumption evaluation model of CNG production process were established and the energy consumption conditions of main process in the production were analysed and evaluated.Secondly, combing with the research of the number of CNG filling station, this paper analysed some critical factors that influence the energy consumption of compression system, dewatering device, storage device and filling device by using the method of theoretical analysis combined with the practical engineering. At the same time, theoretical results that influence on the energy consumption of the equipments provided theoretical guidance for energy saving operation of filling stations.Based on the above analysis, aiming at the maximum energy saving point of CNG filling station, namely the electric consumption of compression system(this paper selected a several of conventional CNG filling station as an example), combined with the actual situation and the possible ways of implementation of saving energy, this paper analysed the reasons of high energy comsumption and put forward some energy saving ways by modifying the components, designing electric saving, adjusting the process parameters reasonablely and optimizing compressor structure, the process flow, the storage size and energy management. The analysis results show that:(1) In view of the present situation of low in take pressure, the production capacity increased by37%and the start and stop frequency and electric consumption of compressors obviously reduced.(2) The energy saving rate reached4.13%by optimization compressors and reducing the temperature of inkake and exhaust gas.(3) The optimization of gas storage scale, which could reduce the peak of electric power for4h and realized the goal of adjusting the peak and reducing the use of electricity, will save electric fee about230.000yuan with a good energy-saving efficiency, achieving the energy saving of compression system. The research and analysis of energy consumption and energy saving ways of CNG filling stations can predict the change of energy consumption caused by the change of the process and parameters. This result will not only provide some basis for process optimization, equipment matching and energy consumption control, but also have a certain guiding significance for saving energy and reducing consumption of the CNG industry, and lower cost for enterprises specified in the direction.
