Electrolytic manganese industry is a typical area with high-energy-consuming, high pollution, resource-based. Industrial waste water containing high concentrations of metals such as ammonia nitrogen in the process of electrolytic manganese, which is one of the key factors restricting the development of green industry. China is the first big country of electrolytic manganese production in the world. With the increasing demand of manganese in the international market, the establishment of the waste water device of the electrolytic manganese will play a key part in the enterprise’s sustainable development and human environmental protection. However, Waste water treatment technology is complex, and often has a big change about the amount of into water, water composition and concentration. Besides, the process is often in unstable condition, which is not easy to control and management. Therefore it puts forward higher requirements on control system.The subject of a combined company, Ningxia, 200000 tons/year of electrolytic manganese production expansion project, research design and implementation of control systems forits. On the basis of process control requirements and detailed analysis of the technological process, research and design a set of software platform based Siemens’ s PCS7V8.0 production line control system to monitor the whole production process and manage. Paper elaborates the system architecture, hardware design, soft-ware design and configuration process technology operating results.This paper studies the combination of the practical needs of enterprise development. Using the method of “reduction-neutralization”, combining the technology reform experience in the field of electrolytic manganese waste water and new effective control scheme, and further puts forward the optimization algorithm of the system, and a better product water discharging standard. The waste water treatment control system has been put into operation. The system running results show that based on Siemens PCS7V8. 0 electrolytic manganese waste water treatment system clearly realize the "use of raw water treatment, water production standards", and the system running safe, reliable, has reached the expected goal.
