In order to study the changes in water quality of reclaimed water in storage and regulation process, to ensure efficient and safe use of reclaimed water, the paper has taken the sewage treatment plant effluent of Inner Mongolia Normal University in Hohhot, comparing with tap water, as the research object to make the use of physical and chemical analysis test indoor to study dynamic change of reclaimed water quality and its correlation for 22 days in different seasons of three kinds of material in the water storage device; to make the use of drip irrigation experiment outdoor to measure the blockage effect of subsurface drip irrigation of reclaimed water, stored for a period of time in the three kinds of water reservoir. The results show that:(1) When reclaimed water and tap water stored in the reservoir of different materials, the water quality variation are different. The morphology, type and quantity of the algae and microorganisms also different. Especially in the summer, plastic barrels will produce a large number of algae, the barrel is green. Reclaimed water temperature is higher than the tap water under the same storage conditions.(2) In plastic bucket, algal bloomed, total phosphorus has decreased significantly and the chemical oxygen demand (CODcr) is higher, larger fluctuation. The plastic bucket can adsorb metal ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, which has deposited in the wall of the barrel, then formed a layer of scale and leaded to the water hardness decreased significantly. Plastic bucket is helpful to reduce the total phosphorus and the hardness of water. The ammonia nitrogen in different water reservoir has little difference, and there is an increasing trend during storage, but is not changing significantly. The CODcr data in cement pool is minimum, as well as the change of CODcr and so the cement tank is helpful to reduce CODcr.(3) The initial water quality of tap water and reclaimed water had a significant effect on the water temperature, CODcr, total phosphorus in summer, and the storage conditions significantly affected the CODcr, hardness and total phosphorus of reclaimed water and tap water.The initial water quality has a significant effect on the hardness of CODcr, total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen in winter, as well as the temperature of water, and the storage conditions has a significant effect on the temperature of water.(4) The change process of reclaimed water can be described as follows: in the appropriate temperature and light conditions, bacteria and algae in reclaimed water metabolism exuberant, microbial decomposition of organic matter, resulting in the decrease of CODcr; Algae use the rich N, P, K of recycled water blooms, which leads to the decrease of total phosphorus in water, CODcr began to increase;when the temperature rises, the solubility of CaCO3, MgCO3 in water decrease, precipitation from the water, attached to the barrel wall or the bottom of the pool, resulting in the decrease of hardness of water. Summer temperatures are higher and the water quality changes in the magnitude larger than in winter.(5) Affected by seasons and water storage of different types, the correlation of the water quality is index. In winter the total phosphorus has a strong correlation with hardness, temperature, CODcr and ammonia nitrogen, and there is a strong correlation between the hardness and CODcr, ammonia nitrogen, and there is a certain correlation between the hardness and temperature, and there is a strong correlation between the CODcr and ammonia nitrogen. In summer, the total phosphorus has a strong correlation with hardness and CODcr, and there is a strong correlation between the temperature and CODcr. In plastic bucket, there is a certain correlation between total phosphorus and temperature, and there is a strong correlation between total phosphorus and CODcr; But in iron drum, there is a strong correlation between total phosphorus and total hardness, and there is a certain correlation between temperature and CODcr. In cement pool, there is a certain correlation among temperature and total phosphorus and CODcr, and there is a strong correlation between total phosphorus and CODcr.(6) When reclaimed water of three storage conditions is for drip irrigation, the blocking effect of emitters is different. The reclaimed water, storied in plastic barrels for drip irrigation, is the most easy to clog the emitters, and the average flow rate of two kinds of drip irrigation pipe is decreased by 30% and 75% after 31 times of irrigation. While the reclaimed water in cement pool causes drip irrigation by blockage the slightest and the tin bucket is last. When the drip emitter is clogged, it will be open and raise the flow. The anti clogging ability of cylinder type drip irrigation pipe in large flow is stronger than the small one.In a word, each water quality index and the relationship of the reclaimed water will be affected by the storage conditions, there is a significant seasonal differences during the storage process. Summer water quality variation. Plastic bucket have some effect on the decreased of total phosphorus and hardness, but the reproduction of algae which led to the deterioration of water quality, easy to cause blockage of drip irrigation system. Cement pool is an ideal recycled water reservoir.
