As emerging persistent organic pollutants, Perfluorinated compounds(PFCs)are global existing with bioaccumulation and long distance migration. PFCs were found in China not only generally in the environmental media such as water, soils and sediments, but also in food like meat and eggs, even in the human bloods. It is significance to eliminate PFCs from the environment because of its toxicity in reproduction and development. The experiment filtrated the submerged plants naturally through survey sampling. Hornwort s was selected to do the laboratorial simulation to study its absorption characteristics in different concentrations. In the laboratory experiment, hornwort’s PFOS concentration was increased straightly and no turning point occurring with the water’s PFOS concentration adding. The largest enrichment and coefficient were 3180 mg·kg-1 dw and 40.74 respectively which was meaning that hornwort has the good enrichment effect on PFOS. PFOS bio-toxicity could make the hornwort produce the oxidation stress and break biosynthesis of chlorophyll which could influence its photosynthesis.Totally, PFOS has some toxicities to hornwort. However, based on its preferable toleration and enrichment, hornwort could be chosen as the specie to do the phytoremediation to eliminate PFOS in the environment. One problem is that its toxic mechanism is not clear and its best absorption condition need to research. In the future, we should to study its mechanism in the aspect of cellular structure, biological specificity and absorption condition. We hope that plant ecological restoration could be applied to practice early.
