The properties of the fluorinated poly(aryl ether)s are more excellence than other poly(aryl ether)s because of the existence of C-F bonds, aromatic ring and ether structure. So the fluorinated poly(aryl ether)s have broad application prospect in many areas. Perfluorocyclobutyl aromatic ether polymers, as one kind of fluorinated poly(aryl ether)s, have better such as solubility, thermal stability, processability and so on. So it has become one of the hot research topic in recent years for the research and development of better performance of fluorinated poly(aryl ether)s.4,4’-bis(trifluorovinyloxy)biphenyl and 4,4’-sulfonyl-bis(trifluorovinyloxy)biphenyl were synthesized via Alkylation and dehalogenation reaction from 4,4’-Biphenol and 4,4’-sulfonyldiphenol respectively. Different structure of fluorinated poly(aryl ether)s were synthesized from the two monomers via homopolymerization or copolymerization mechanism.A series of PFCB-BP polymers were synthesized with DTB as monomers by changing the polymerization conditions such as the polymerization temperature, solvent and so on. The results of FT-IR and NMR show that the structure of polymer synthesized is consistent with that designed originally. The molecular weight of PFCB-BP increases with the increasing of polymerization temperature, while there is little change as the polymerization solvents are different. The Tg of PFCB-BP polymers is above 155℃ and 5% thermal weightlessness temperature is above 450℃, which proves the good thermal stability of PFCB-BP polymers. PFCB-BP polymers have good solubility in in NMP, chloroform, DMAc, DMSO and so on.A series of PFCB-S polymers were synthesized with DTS as monomer by changing the polymerization conditions such as the polymerization temperature, solvent and so on. The results of FT-IR and NMR show that the structure of polymers synthesized is consistent with that designed originally. The molecular weight of PFCB-S is increased with the increasing of polymerization temperature, which there is little change as the polymerization solvents are different. The Tg of PFCB-BP polymers is above 165℃ and 5% thermal weightlessness temperature is above 475 ℃, which proves the good thermal stability of PFCB-S polymers. PFCB-S polymers have good solubility in NMP, chloroform, DMAc, DMSO and so on, while they are insoluble in acetone and alcohol solvent. With DTS and DTB as the monomers, five kind of PFCB-S-BP were synthesized by changing the proportion of the two monomers. The results of FT-IR, NMR and GPC show that PFCB-S-BP polymers are copolymer. The molecular weight of the five polymers is roughly same. The Tg of PFCB-BP polymers is about 150℃ and 5% thermal weightlessness is above 470 ℃,which shows good heat resistance performance. Five kind of PFCB-S-BP have good solubility in in NMP, chloroform, DMAc, DMSO and so on.PAEs60 and PAEs70 were synthesized by DTS and BP with Cs2CO3 as catalyst, respectively and the properties of the polymers were tested and characterized. The results of FT-IR and NMR show that the structure of polymers synthesized is consistent with that designed originally. PAEs60 can be dissolved in NMP, DMF, THF, DMSO and so on. The molecular weight of PAEs increases with the increase of polymerization time. Some PAEs70 have no solubility in any solvent because of the high polymerization temperature. Crossliked polymer PPAEs60was synthesized by PAEs60 through thermal cyclization reaction because of the existence of the structure of-CF=CF2, and there is no glass transition.
