Daqing Petrochemical HDPEprocess unit adopted Japan’s Mitsui slurry process technology. And the control systems directly are using DCS(distributed control system). Widespread use of DCS makes process control level greatly improved, but only integrated PID loop, not yet out of the conventional PID control mode.For multiple variables, fast response, coupled serious in terms of the production process control, it has been unable to meet the increasingly fierce market competition.This article is provided by the use of Aspen advanced control software. Daqing Petrochemical HDPE process unitwas deployed the implementation of advanced polymeric production control system(including non-linear multivariable controller, the main polymer properties prediction and product formulations, grade transition management), the production process optimized control of reactor feed rate including ethylene, comonomer, mother liquor, hexane, catalyst etc.And ultimately improve the system running smoothly rate, while creating enormous economic benefits.The task was officially launched in June 2011. All the advanced control system was put online in August 2011. The grade transition modeling work was completed and put into use in September 2014, and completed recipe automatic transition between 5000 S and 2200 J back and forth. Operation shows that the system enhanced the capability of resisting disturbance, improved the stabilization of plant production, reduced operator workload, improved the level of plant control, reduced consumption, increased economic benefits,reduced the fluctuation of the main process parameters, improved the yield rat and shorten the grade transition time.All the data have reached the contractual requirements.
