With the frequent occurrence of petroleum and petrochemical enterprise security incidents in recent years, the whole society has paid more and more attention to the safe and stable production of petroleum and petrochemical enterprise. The production processes of associated enterprise mostly contain substances harmful to the environment. Therefore, once there was accident resulting in leakage of harmful substances, the natural environment will be seriously contaminated, which will cause great harm. The moving equipment which represented by reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, screw compressors, pumps, fans and others is the key moving equipment of oil refining companies, ethylene and other devices. They are the cornerstone of safe and stable production. How to manage equipment is an unavoidable problem for either every business or each device manager. Equipment predictive maintenance concepts have been proposed for decades, but the vast majority of domestic machinery and equipment are still stuck in the artificial periodic maintenance and corrective maintenance status, especially for reciprocating compressors. As there are standbys for the device, cutting machine processing can be operated in case of failure. So there was not enough emphasis on its condition monitoring and diagnosis, and various types of failure occurred frequently. Condition monitoring and diagnosis technology is the key to equipment predictive maintenance, which makes equipment maintenance management staff bid farewell to the stage that determine unit failure by backward means such as looking, touching and listening. Online monitoring and diagnosis techniques rely on sensors and computer technology for real-time monitoring unit operating status, and it is an inevitable direction of device management.Based on the online monitoring and fault diagnosis requirement of refining companies key moving equipment, this paper studied the monitoring and diagnosis technology of reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors and other key equipment. Aiming at problems of the monitoring and diagnosis system in the actual application process, the research work are carried out in the following areas:(1) Theresearch of reciprocating compressor cylinder dynamic pressure simulation technology and the extraction of valve fault feature parameters are conducted. Besides, this paper researched on the typical failure of centrifugal compressor and turbine, and proposed fault-site treatment methods and requirements after analyzing the failure mechanism.(2) For the problem found in the course of the field that using personal had a clear understanding of the monitoring and diagnosis system and difficulty in using the system, this paper analyzed the composition and field application of the monitoring and diagnosis system, and explained the monitoring system deficiencies that exist in the application process combining the actual site usage. In addition, relevant improvements was put forward.(3) Captured by the monitoring and diagnosis system, a detailed analysis of troubleshooting cases of refining company screw compressors, reciprocating compressors and other equipment was conducted. The practical effects of monitoring and diagnosis system was described, and characteristics of typical fault was extracted, which lay the foundation for future monitoring and diagnosis of equipment failure. With the continuous development of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology and increasing emphasis of related unit, modern petrochemical production enterprises will be more and more use of condition monitoring and diagnosis system. Carry out the research and application of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology has important practical significance.
