Drill pads is the weak link on the drill pipe, often broken or stab leak accident drill, weld ultrasonic testing area is found inside the cross, one of the main means of longitudinal defects. Handheld portable ultrasonic detector for detecting the manual testing methods can not meet the work requirements, multi-channel simultaneous detection is to improve the efficiency and reduce the labor intensity of the inevitable choice.This article from the repair of drill pipe friction welding repair process to start, a careful analysis of the major flaws of each process that may arise, develop appropriate technology for the detection of defects, and from the perspective of saving human resources designed automated detection process.Study the current advanced FPGA and DSP bipolar gate array processing technology, a multi-channel simultaneous detection of three drill pads in alignment defects, simultaneous multi-channel detection, sub-channel real-time processing, eliminating the defect signal processing and wait mutual interference concerns. Detection software designed to detect real-time display of the status of drill pads, and can print to view historical data. On the basis of repeated testing on drill pads standardized testing to ensure accuracy and consistency of test results.In this paper, instead of manually operated mechanical device concept and automatic feeding system through the drill pipe, the probe walking stent system and automatic sprinkler coupling agent, to achieve automatic detection, the entire detection only one person can be completed independently, greatly improving the efficiency and labor intensity. Validated through extensive field trials to prove that the zero rate of drill pads missed automatic detection device, an error rate of zero, the waveform repetition rate greater than 90%.
