Chromium resources is an important strategic materials, the social and economic development of metallurgy chemical engineering and materials processing industry requires a lot of chromium resources. In the early20th century due to the application and development of stainless steel, chromium resources development and utilization with iron and steel industry has been developped rapidly。Because of chromium can be combined with nickel, cobalt, copper and other non-ferrous metal forming advanced alloys with excellent properties and expanded the scope of the field of advanced materials. Alloy material of high carbon ferrochrome is one of most widely used products, more than eighty percent of high carbon ferrochrome used in stainless steel industry.Chinese stainless steel industry has maintained sustained growth momentum, meanwhile pulling the consumer demand of chrome.Chromium alloy series of high carbon ferrochrome occupied big proportion of the consumption demand of alloy, but high carbon ferrochrome industry in China still has a big gap compared with foreign technology and equipment, mainly for comprehensive utilization of energy consumption and pollutant emission index cannot reach the national advanced index requirements. This thesis forcuse on instroducing Mintal group which is based on the foreign high carbon ferrochrome production technology, through the introduction of smelting process technology and equipment reducing the high carbon ferrochrome production energy consumption and pollutants discharge, eventually making Chinese high carbon ferrochrome processing industry in the line with the international advanced target.
