Objective: in this experiment, the silane coupling agent, titanate coupling agenttwo kindsof coupling agent in different mass fraction of modified nano silica,and then by groupsof modified nano silica by adding certain amount of added to poly methylmethacrylate, effect of nano SiO2two coupling agentmodification on mechanicalproperties of PMMA at the same time test, the optimum mass fraction of two differenttypes of coupling agent used tomodified SiO2.Methods: using1%,2%,3%,4%,5%of mass fraction of silane coupling agent and titanatecoupling agent on the surface modification of nano SiO2, treated nano SiO2by3%andadding PMMA mix made into a standard module,untreated as control, three point bendingtest, hardness and friction and weartest of the specimen, statistical analysis, scanningelectron microscopespecimen section random observation.Results: add after two kinds of coupling agent modified nano mechanical propertiesof SiO2in experimental group was better than the control group’smechanicalproperties. Silane coupling agents were used to modified nano SiO2with mass fraction of2%of the time can improve the mechanical properties of PMMA to a best state, titanatecoupling agent used to modified nano SiO2with mass fraction of3%to raisethe mechanical effect of PMMAcan reach the best state. Flexural strength, and hardnessof silane coupling agent in the optimal dosage groups of anti friction and wear performanceare superior to those of titanate coupling agent, while the tensile strength is lower than thatof titanate coupling agent. To see the effect of a silane coupling agent on thewhole than titanate coupling agent.Conclusion: in a certain concentration range of nano SiO2two modified with couplingagent could improve the mechanical strength of denture base resins,the couplingagent used in this experiment and the methods,1.silane coupling agent used to modifiednano SiO2with mass fraction of2%improvedpolymethyl methacrylate mechanical effectis achieved the best state,2. titanate coupling agent used to modified nano SiO2with massfraction of3%to improve the mechanical properties of PMMA effect to achieve the bestcondition.3In the overall effect is modified by silane coupling agent SiO2on themechanicalproperties of nano PMMA increase is better than that of titanate coupling agent modifiednano SiO2.
