Now,in the machine tool system, shrink fit tool system has been widely used. It has become a standard configuration of the high-speed machining center,combings the induction heating technology’s high efficiency, control precision,less contamination and itself has the advantages of high precision,powerful clamping force,high bending stiffness and performance dynamic balance. Based on the finite element software to simulate the temperature field of shrink fit chuck induction heating.As the breakthrough point, and then donging the induction heating research.This is the sub-subject“High stability and intelligentized new tool system of high-speed numerical control machine”of The national science and technology project,which is mainly about the study of shrink fit chuck induction heating by theoretical analysis , numerical simulation and experimental study.The main contents are summarized as follows:1. Compared shrink fit chuck with hydraulic and spring chucks on its structure and the advantages in detailed description. Analyzed the current situation and the development of shrink fit chuck.2. Based on the basic principle of shrink fit chuck induction heating, Deduced the electromagnetic field and vortex field’s distribution theory equation of shrink fit chuck induction heating. Introduced the skin effect and depth of penetration of induction heating.3. Established the calculation model of shrink fit chuck induction heating. Simulated with the three type’s shrink fit chuck, and then extracted the simulation results of electromagnetic field and temperature field.4. In the current conditions, designed a set of experiment and analysed the experimental data. Based on the experimental data, established the temperature field model of shrink fit chuck.Through the numerical simulation extracted the distribution curve of magnetic line of force and magnetic field intensity,then compared with theory equation. Compared and analyzed the temperature field results between the numerical simulation and experiment. Based on the above research, provided a research method of shrink fit chuck induction heating. For shrink fit chuck’s development research and the optimization of induction heating parameters , provided the design basis.
