Climate change affects many aspects of any region in varying degrees, such as society, economy and so on. The sensitivity and vulnerability of human social system to climate change keep changing with the geographical location, time, social and economic developmental level and environmental conditions. Meteorological data such as temperature measurements which have both regular temporal characteristics and obvious spatiality are typical spatio-temporal data, analysis of their features is the basis for putting them into use. The study on regional temperature change and its character should be reinforced. It is important to the regional policy-making and eco-construction. Thus it is necessary to analyze the spatio-temporal features of the meteorological data.Based on the data of 348 weather stations in Yunnan province from 1981 to 2010,from the aspects of space and time, this paper analyzes the spatial-temporal evaluative pattern of the temperatures with the help of Geographic Information System and some other relevant methods such as wavelet analysis, Kriging interpolation. In the past 30 years, the mean change of maximum temperatures in July is about 1℃ in Yunnan province, the temperatures in most areas increase, warming in the 1990s is most prominent; the average maximum temperatures of all seasons increased in varying degrees, the warming process is strongest in winter followed by spring, autumn and summer, the 90s is the warmest age for summer and autumn while 2000s for the other 2 seasons; the mean change of yearly maximum temperatures is 1.83℃ in the 2000s,the temperature rise magnitude is large in most regions of the southern Yunnan part; the mean maximum temperature of 30 years is 19.04℃,the isotherms of the north western Yunnan part are denser than the other region, which indicates the temperature differences are relatively large in this region.
