Vibrator is the crucial vehicle of oil and gas exploration. The risk of vibrator in the process of driving on the road and working is higher, and it is easy to occur rollover accident, taking serious threat to the life safety of driving personnel. Thus, Most of vibrators are equipped with rollover protection structure at home and abroad, and the driver’s injury from a rollover accident will be largely determined by the advantages and disadvantages of design for its structure.Therefore, this paper study domestic KZ-28vibrator, which is commonly used in China. The deformation and energy absorption of KZ-28rollover protection structure are studied in the process of rollover collision, and its protection is for driving personnel. Besides which, the evaluation system of security protection performance is established for rollover protection structure and the design improvement of rollover protection structure is studied. More details is as follows:(1) Paper summarizes design for rollover protection structure of main vibrators in China and abroad at present, as well as safety evaluation and main experimental study method adopted by rollover protection structure in the field of engineering vehicle by far.(2) Through the analysis method of finite element numerical simulation, based on the theory of large plastic deformation and impact dynamics, the rollover collision of KZ-28vibrator is calculated through explicit algorithm of finite element. Its energy and motion changes of driving personnel are analysed.(3) Based on the calculation results of rollover collision of vibrator in combination with relevant vehicle safety evaluation criterion, the safety protection performance evaluation system of rollover protection structure is set up, which is divided into "safety protection evaluation system" and "performance evaluation system".(4) According to the safety protection performance evaluation system being established above, KZ-28rollover protection structure is evaluated through this system, comparative analysing safety protection performance of rollover protection structure and driving personnel’s safety when vibrator is under three rollover conditions.(5) For the specific requirements of security protection performance system to security exploration work, the method of using plastic hinge mechanism to optimize rollover protection structure is put forward, improving the security protection performance of overall structure and protecting the key weld joint.(6) Finally, rollover protection structure of before and after optimization are evaluated according to the safety protection performance evaluation system. The evaluation results indicate that rollover protection structure optimized by the plastic hinge formation mechanism is reasonable. The key parts of the weld joint are effectively protected and the overall energy absorption capacity is stronger, thus, driving personnel get less injury from rollover collision.Thesis research are of great significance for improving the safety performance of rollover protection structure of vibrator.
