As a special motion of nonlinear dynamics system, chaos has the character of randomness and the sensitivity of initial conditions, which was intensively studied in various fields such as Meteorology, Biology, and Digital Communications in the past years. In recent years, with FPGA technology popularization application, the researchers have paid attention to the application of chaos synchronization in secure communication, which has become one of the hot topics.Chaos system and its synchronization are investigated based on FPGA technology in this thesis. Firstly, the dynamic behaviors of Lorenz and Chen systems are analyzed, and chaotic systems are realized via the DSP-Builder development platform and Verilog HDL. The experiment results are also observed from oscilloscope, and the disadvantages of two methods are summarized, respectively. Secondly, as the basis of the practical application of chaotic synchronization, the synchronization control between Lorenz and Chen system is achieved through the DSP-Builder development platform, and chaos synchronization is also achieved by using FPGA. Finally, the method of chaotic secure communication is improved, and chaos masking technology is combined with FPGA, the useful signal transmission, signal superposition and decryption are realized on the FPGA through chaotic synchronization method.
