With the continuous economic development in recent years, the domestic demand for crude oil and its products continues to grow, in order to meet market demand, China’s crude oil imports showed a strong growth momentum. Since China became an oil importing country in1993, external dependence has increased steadily in August2011reached55.2%, for the first time surpassed the United States. China’s crude oil imports in2013was280million tons, an increase of4%, nearly60%of foreign dependency. Face of growing imports of crude oil, as a major transportation hub, the port will face even greater challenges and opportunities. In the case of increasing competition in the ports, the establishment of a scientific and effective petrochemical wharf competitiveness evaluation index system is even more important.Firstly, from the enterprise competitiveness theory, combining the characteristics of the port summarizes the characteristics of port competitiveness, in order to form a chemical terminal competitiveness evaluation system of oil carried bedding.Secondly, Porter’s five forces model analysis of industry competition, combined with the circumstances of each competitor, summarized the factors affecting the competitiveness of petroleum chemicals terminal.Again, the use of fuzzy hierarchy comprehensive evaluation method has different competitive range with respect to the surrounding oil port of Tianjin Port, Tianjin Port’s competitiveness and Petrochemical Terminal Co., Ltd. Tianjin Port range relative to other oil handling companies were evaluated analyzed and the analysis results.Finally, the analysis results for Petrochemical Terminal Co., Ltd. of Tianjin Port propose appropriate development strategy.
