Research On Design And Implementation Of Process Management System Of H Company

Process management theory reached its systematic and mature stage in the20th century with the "BPR"(Business Process Reengineering) advanced by Michael Hammer and James Champy in1993. Afterwards, with the rapid development of information and internet technology, scholars and abroad have done a great deal of research on it and achieved great success. This paper believes that there would be more research projects on process management in the future with the advent and development of3D printing technology.However, there are few articles and books about the implementation of process management by small enterprises in China. On the one hand, due to the constraints on professionals, techniques and funds etc., small enterprises cannot rely on advanced information techniques to improve the process management ability. On the other hand, compared with established firms focusing on the process to optimize cost, efficiency and safety etc., small enterprises with simple process pay more attention to details and have higher request on the practicality. Therefore, it is significant to study the process management of small enterprises, find methods suitable for themselves, raise the success rate and strengthen small business process management in popularity and practice.This paper takes Company H, which is a trading company importing and selling milk powder, as the research subject. By analyzing the management problems existing in Company H, this paper helps to construct process management system combined with relevant theories. The process management system of Company H is divided into three sub-systems including Business Process System, Supporting Platform System and Process Reengineering System.The process management system needs to be translated into documents which can be executable. These executable documents include flowcharts and instructions of process, related systems and management methods, operating forms and other operating instructions etc. What’s more, this paper helps to improve the management level of standardization and streamline the management process through implementing the process management system and perfecting related documents. Based on the analysis and construction of process management system of H company, this paper presents the concept of "House of Management System" which believes the process management system and organization management are basis of enterprise management system. Meanwhile, with the combination of Adizes Corporate Lifecycle theory, this paper attempts to identify a set of common stages in the life of corporate process management. And these stages include Infancy, Introduction, Go-Go, Maturity and Reengineering.
