Cultivated land resources is the basis for human survival and development, thequantity and quality of cultivated land resources have an important impact on socialdevelopment, the protection of cultivated land resources should be protected not onlythe quantity of cultivated land, but also to ensure the quality to ensure a certain degreeof food production, which for the development of countries, and even social stabilityhave important practical significance. The ultimate goal to protect cultivated land of our country is to ensure a certaindegree of food production. But food production is affected not only by the naturalquality of cultivated land; it also includes the results of human activities. At present, our evaluation of the quality of cultivated land is mostly based on agricultural landclassification achievements, this evaluation method considered purely natural qualityof cultivated land, while ignoring the cultivated site conditions. In order to fullydetermine the overall quality of farmland reasonably, this study uses American LESAthought, establishes the comprehensive evaluation model of cultivated land fromnatural quality and site conditions, which could guarantee the evaluation resultspractical and scientific.(1) In this study, ArcGIS, MapGIS and other technical factors are used to analyzethe factors affecting the overall quality of Wu’an farmland, which includes thethickness of soil layer, surface soil texture, soil organic matter content, irrigationguarantee rate, soil slope configuration, slope grade these natural factors and landsocio-economic factors such as land location, traffic convenience of transportation, degree contiguous of cultivated, these factors all have significant impact on theoverall quality of cultivated land, combined with the weight value of each factor, andultimately determine the comprehensive quality evaluation model of cultivated land, namely, LESA a LE b SA,to increase food production as the ultimate goal, theration of a and b is3:2. (2) In this paper, taking Wu’an city as the research object for empirical research, through a comprehensive quality evaluation model to determine the overall qualitystatus of cultivated land in Wu’an. Studies show that the area of cultivated land withrelatively better quality in Wu’an is8392.56hm2, accounting for15.08%of the totalarea of cultivated land, mainly in the central region of Wu’an, including Yang Yi town,Datong town, Wu Ji town, Wu’an Town and other towns, the area of cultivated landhas good natural conditions with favorable socio-economic conditions. Studies alsoshow that the area of cultivated land with relatively poor quality is8756.63hm2,accounting for15.73%of the total area of cultivated land. The areas are mainlylocated in the west of Wu’an, including Guan Tao Xiang, Huo Shui Xiang and Ma JiaZhuang Xiang, Wu’an western mountains, and Kuang Shan town, the northern part ofWu’an, this area has poor natural quality, social and economic conditions is relativelybackward.(3) In this paper, based on the results of a comprehensive evaluation of thequality of cultivated land, analyzed the application LESA system in other areas, focusing on the application of the system in the delineation of basic farmland, whichprovides a theoretical guidance and technical support methods in the use of cultivatedland, and also provides theoretical basis for the application of land in other industries.
