Population aging is an inevitable result of the development of society andeconomy. Aging stays at a high level after China stepped into aging society, inaddition, China has a huge population, which make pension service be a greatchallenge in the process of our sustainable development. Therefore, how to deal withthe problems of old-age people and establish thorough pension service policies whichconsist with our current conditions not only get involved in happiness of millions ofhouseholds, but also is the foundation of the building of harmonious society.Combining with our current problems of pension service, this thesis study andanalyze from following five aspects:The first chapter is introduction part. This part mainly discusses researchbackground, and makes a systematic statement of domestic and foreign references,which lay down a base for the whole essay.The second chapter is about the characteristics in the development of our agingpopulation. This chapter introduces our stage development features of our currentaging phenomenon and is divided into four primary parts, which are level of ouraging population, architectural difference of the distribution of our aging population,tendency of our aging population and the consequences of aging, such as “emptynest” and “loss of single-child”. These characteristics are also the causes of problemsof our pension service.The third chapter is about prominent problems and analysis of the causes of ourpension service. Base on the analysis of development features of our agingpopulation, this part mainly discusses in two aspects. Firstly, research some majorproblems of our pension service in view of our current conditions and history, such asthe challenges of in-home care, lagging development of government pension servicepolicy, shortage of professional pension-service employment and the gap of old-agepension. Then analyze the causes of these problems, which are due to out-datedconcept of pension service, uncompleted policy and law system and absence of standard pension service training system after getting into aging society.The fourth is about experience reference of some foreign devleloped countries.This part is mainly study the pension system of three developed countries: Canada,Japan and Switzerland. Based on China current conditions, and referencing thedevelopment experience of these countries, summarize some inspired proposalstowards our pension service.The fifth chapter is about the policy-related advises. Aiming at our currentconditions and prominent problems of China pension service, put forward somepolicies and advices in the following aspects: firstly, establish long-term developingproject of social pension service industry basing on fiscal and taxation policies;secondly, solve the problem of the gap of old-age pension; besides, make a goodcooperation among the government, enterprises and the society, which includes thegovernment establishes correlative policy and law to build a good policy environmentfor social pension service industry and to standardize training system of professionalemployment; the society is supposed to play a role in supervision and improverecognition capability of violation risk; enterprises should play an active role in theprocess of pension service and in the development of pension service industry.
