Analysis Of Tonnage Cultivated Land Quality And Well-facilitied Capital Farmland Construction In Wen County, Henan Province

Food security is a key to national economy and sustainable development. As thecarrier of grain production, cultivated land resources, which are affected by thecontradiction between man and land, are seeking for a scientific and reasonablequality guarantee system. This paper carries out a case study of quality advantage andspatial distribution pattern in Wen county, Henan province. A micro-analysis, whichfocuses on the three levels of production capacity, grading index and the correlationsamong chemical elements, has been done based on the achievements of agriculturalland grading and geochemical assessment. And then, this paper systematicallyresearches the county-wide construction of high-standard prime cropland and dynamicmonitoring of cultivated land quality in order to protect cultivated land effectively,ensure the production capacity of cultivated land, transform output-oriented grainproduction to capacity-oriented grain production, and transform quantitative landmanagement to the coordinated management of quantity, quality and ecology.The results show that soil organic matter content isn’t high as a whole so that theeffective thickness of soil layer shall be improved in Wen county. The theoretical andrealizable grain yields per unit are proportional to the contents of S, Si, Se and Corgbut inversely proportional to the contents of Ca, Hg, Mo and Mn. The actual capacityis proportional to the Soil pH but inversely proportional to the contents of Pb, Cr andZn. The promotion of production capacity should focuses on the soil acid-baseequilibrium. The overuse of zinc fertilizer has seriously affected the actual output sothat the mixed use of sulfur, selenium and silicon fertilizer should be applied. WenCounty plans to construct85.7thousand hectares of well-facilitiedcapitalfarmlandconstruction area. In the meanwhile, three levels of special high-quality agriculturalcultivation areas have been distributed. It’s conservatively estimated that,71.6milliontons of actual capacity could be increased.The paper concludes as follows:1.This paper gets two different analysis results of cultivated land quality advantages by using the theories of agricultural landclassification and land quality geochemical assessment.2. The production capacity,land use intensity and potential distribution pattern have been analyzed and evaluated.Ways of ramping up the capacity have been proposed by doing correlation researcheson capacity and typical factors.3. On the basis of the advantage analysis, an attempton constructing high-standard prime cropland demonstration zone and specialhigh-quality suitable planting area has been made in order to provide a scientific basisfor ensuring food security in survey region.
