The middle area is always the essential section to ensure the food security of our country. As the growing up of middle area, it is entering into a rapid development period. In such a situation, it is especially important to keep the stabilization of the grain productivity in the middle area. This paper, thereby, calculates the grain productivity of agricultural land in the middle area, on the basis of agricultural land classification, in order to ascertain the productivities. Through the comparison between potential and actual productivity, the use intensity and the potential of increase production can be evaluated exactly. Following are the main points of this paper.1. In the grain productivity calculation, there is a conception of standard grain being introduced which is used for unifying different grain dimensions. The gross production of standard grain in the given area can be gained by the linear correlation of standard grain and use grade index.2.The quantity of standard grain is a target yield quantity, it can be realized by construction of prime farmland conservation and land consolidation, so it has an actual meaning in middle area.3 The calculation results show that the potential production of unit is higher than any actual production of unit in the past years in the middle agriculture land, and the two both have the similar changing tendency. From high to low in turn, they are Hubei 12895kg/hm2,Hunan 12425kg/hm2,Jiangxi 12000kg/hm2,Henan 10495kg/hm2,Anhui 9414kg/hm2,Shanxi 3750kg/hm2.4. There are some differences between gross productivity and unit productivity because of the different area. But the potential gross productivity and actual gross productivity have consistency, listing from high to low, they are Henan 8608(104t), Anhui 6465(104t), Hubei 6196(104t), Hunan 4736(104t), Jiangxi 3476(104t), Shanxi 1750(104t).5. As the benchmark crops in Shanxi, Henan and other four provinces are different, we convert them to the same dimension when we calculate the gross productivity of middle area. The potential productivity of unit is 9873kg/hm2, and 28758(104t) in total.6. The finally results show that convert different crop dimension into a same one can ascertain the agricultural land productivity in the middle area better. By analyzing the calculation results, in order to ensure food security of middle area, Hunan and Hubei which have the better foundation for cultivation should be well-controlled firstly; while Shanxi and North Henan should be increased in the investment of agricultural basic facilities, developing land consolidation and reconstructing low yield land; Jiangxi should be enhanced in soil and water conservation. Develop the agricultural land productivity in these areas is the thing what we would like to do. |
