The Research About Peasant-works’ Housing Problem And Solutions In The Context Of Urbanization

Housing is the basis for peasant-workers’ survival and development in cities. With the rapid expansion of urbanization, the amount of peasant-worker increases gradually and their housing problem is increasingly extruded. Analyzing and solving their housing problem, protecting their housing rights and improving their living standard will contribute to social harmony and stable development.This study analyzes the housing policy, the housing situation and the influencing factors of peasant-workers’ housing in Fuzhou, based on a questionnaire survey and an informal interview of the farmer workers’ housing condition in Fuzhou. By means of discussing and referencing some domestic and overseas relevant experience, and combining the searching and the practical experience what people had got when they were solving the peasant-workers’ housing problem, this paper puts forward some housing policy systems which are adapted to the regional development of Fuzhou and the requirements of the farmer workers. First, more public rental housing should be built, and the farmer workers’ housing should be assured in the housing security system. Second, the informal market for housing rental should be standardized. Third, the accepting enterprises should be fully mobilized to solve the peasant-works’housing problem, and the responsibility of the enterprises should be strengthened. Fourth, peasant-workers’ housing supporting policies should be propelled and completed to set up the long-term integrative policy system of peasant-worker. Last, combining the urbanization, the flow of peasant-worker should be guided.
