As the science and technology has been widely popularized in our country in recent years, a new group of people who are called science popularization volunteers have drawn more attention from the public. With the rich museum resources in Beijing, these volunteers have the advantage of showing themselves and serving the public here.This study focuses on the science popularization volunteers serving in the museums in Beijing. First step of this study is to evaluate their satisfaction, and then the researcher will analyse the collected data to find the main factors that influence the volunteers’satisfaction. In the end, the researcher will try to give some suggestions improving the level of their satisfaction based on the analyses.Literature review, interview, questionnaire and data analysis are the main research methods of this study. The first-hand data was concluded from the questionnaire whose design is based on Reseanna and Guzley’s research about the volunteer satisfaction index (VSI). The researcher using factor analysis, variance analysis and correlation analysis finds some conclusions, the conclusions are as bellow. Firstly, six major factors are summarized, and the result is quite different from the formers. Secondly, the science popularization volunteer’s gender, age, the lasting time of the volunteer service and other conditions will influence the level of satisfaction. Thirdly, this study also finds that the intent to remain relates with the level of satisfaction. Besides, some suggestions are given at the end of the study.
