A Study On The Development And Countermeasure Of The Popular Science Volunteer Team In Wuhan

Science popularization is an important work of popularizing science and technology, improving scientific quality and an important part of strengthening the building of spiritual civilization.Science popularization means taking the manners that public easy to understand, accept, participate,to popularize scientific knowledge, promote scientific methods, spread of scientific thought, carry forward the spirit of science.The popular science volunteer are an important carrier of science popularization activities, with a demonstration and a lead role.In 2003, for in-depth the implementation of Law of thePeople's Republic of China on Popularization of Science and Technology, Wuhan started to launch the popular science volunteer organizations,according to the requirements of The Sixth Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology: “Widely organizing volunteers to the work of science popularization”.Since then, the popular science volunteer organizations have carried out various-forms and content-rich science popularization volunteer service activitiesunder the leadership of science and technology association.At the same time,there are some problems in the popular science volunteer in the team composition, operation mechanism and social impacts.Based on the analysis of the development, this article proposes the effective countermeasures to grow the popular science volunteer in Wuhan, and provide some reference for the popular science volunteer organizations building elsewhere in domestic.
