As the ancient civilization, China has a long history and rich in human resourcesmanagement thought,"both ability and integrity","merit," the employer thought existed sinceancient times. Today we are studying Chinese in the process of human resource managementtheory and practice, in addition to consider in the modern era, our country social environmentand should also draw nutrition from ancient Chinese businessmen and their managementthoughts. Shanxi merchant more than five hundred years, the Qing dynasty is the flagship ofthe country’s financial, is China’s first truly modern business group. The enormous success ofthe Shanxi merchant is a result of the combined action of multiple factors, including the latterto the effective management of human resources play an important role to the success of thelatter. The Shanxi merchant in the long-term business activities, gradually establish a systemof a set of unique aspects of human resources management. The implementation of thesemechanisms to stimulate the staff’s working enthusiasm, training staff to business loyalty tofamily consciousness, realize the rational allocation of human resources, the great impetus tothe development of the cause of the Shanxi merchant. Not only that, the latter for today’shuman resource management practice activity of human resource management still has acertain referential experience. This paper is based on the point of all this entry, through thestudy and analysis of the successful experience and failure lessons of the human resourcesmanagement of Shanxi merchant, in order to seek to adapt to human resource managementtheory and the situation of our country.Paper set of discourse structure and main content is as follows:This paper is divided into seven chapters in total. The first chapter is an introduction,describes the purpose and significance of Shanxi merchant’s human resource management,research status, mainly by the use of research methods and structural arrangements of thisarticle. The second chapter provides an overview of the development process of Shanximerchant and business organization and management system in order to better understandMerchants human resource management implementation process within the enterprise. Thethird chapter introduces the Shanxi merchant’s liquidity management of human resources,including human resources, access to, and out of the outward flow of human resources management in the firm internally. Through the flow of human resources management,Shanxi merchant achieve reasonable allocation of human resources. Chapter IV for thedevelopment and training of human resources of Shanxi merchant, start from the custom ofShanxi pro-business, introduced for apprentices and their children Merchants businessawareness, skills and professional ethics education. The fifth chapter discusses the incentiveand constraint mechanisms of Shanxi merchant’s human resource management, incentive andconstraint mechanisms with these distinctive features is multi-faceted, rather than a single.Incentives which include material incentives and mental stimulation; constraint mechanismsexisting institutional constraints have the non-institutional constraints. Chapter VI analyzesthe Shanxi merchant’s human resource management problems in order to be able toobjectively and comprehensively treat Merchants human resource management activities.Chapter VII discusses Shanxi merchant’s human resource management Inspiration.
