With the tariff protection gradually weaken, Green trade barriers, as a kind oftrade protection policy,It besides to protect the safety of human life and health,animal and plant health or safety, protect the natural resources and naturalenvironment responsibility, plays more on the role of trade protection. Japan is oneof the countries whose green trade barriers are complex and demanding. Japaneseimports the largest part of the agriculture products from China, and Japan uses of thisbarrier to protect its agriculture and limit the import of agricultural products, itseriously affects the export of Chinese agricultural products.This article is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, this partdiscusses the background and significance of researching the green trade barriers ofJapan, it also includes some achievements of foreign and China scholars. The secondpart is the description of the background and structure of the Japanese green tradebarriers, and summarizes the characteristics of Japanese green trade barriers. Thethird part is about the overall situation of china-japan agricultural trade and productstructure, this part also includes the development trend of agricultural trade betweenChina and Japan under the influence of green trade barriers. The forth part is thedescription of the influence of Japanese green trade barriers, the influence on Chinais divided into negative and positive two aspects, the negative aspect includes theincreasment of export risks and costs, the positive aspect includes the progress ofagricultural technology and the upgrading of agricultural industrial chain. In theworld, Japanese green trade barriers hinder the further development of China, Japanand South Korea free trade area, it promoted the development of agricultural producttrade between China and ASEAN countries. The fifth part is the suggestions to copewith the green trade barrier. We should improve laws and regulations of foodhygiene and safety, improve the food and agricultural products inspection system and make the industry associations play a role.
