Empirical Research On The Text Analysis Of The Mission Of National Scientific Research Institutes In China

Mission leads an important role in identifying organizational goals, forming organizational characteristics and leading organizational successes. Without the mission, social organization also loses its fundamental meaning of its existence. The national research institute is the main force to the development of science and technology in China, is also an important part of national innovation system of science and technology. In recent years, with the reform of scientific research institutes, whether the national scientific research institutes can remain academic and normative in the market economy tide become increasingly concerned with topics, therefore, the mission of the national scientific research institutes exploration has become a very important topic.The mission of scientific research institutes has rich connotations. As a particular organization, it is to bear certain social responsibility, is the judgment, pursuit, choice and language description of its own value, concrete manifesting as positioning, targeting and achieving of scientific research institutes. Different types of scientific research institutes have their own features and characteristics in their mission statements, which proves the necessity of existence of their missions to some degree. The complete mission statement of scientific research institutes can help organizations to clear their own core values, can better reflect its characteristics of public properties, as well as to better locate their own national scientific research institutes, begin their scientific research activities, and guide the system construction of the organization.In this thesis, on the basis of combing the relevant research both at home and abroad, discusses the mission and the connotation of mission statements of national scientific research institutes in China. It takes114institutes directly under the Chinese academy of sciences institute as research objects, bases on Nine Elements theory mission, to establish a coding system of mission statement, then through the analysis of the sample data and keyword frequency to understand the status of its mission statement, carries on the overall evaluation of the mission statement of the National Institute of scientific research and points out the key issues.How to make the mission to become an important indicator of National Research Institute for survival and development. How to guide National Research Institute to gain sustainable competitive advantages through the mission. In view of the practical purpose, this paper presents that the mission driven organization is the strategic choice of the development of the National Research Institute, the leading role played through the institute managers to implement unified mission statements and practice, attach importance to maintaining the relationship between research institutes of stakeholders, to play the function of the mission, so as to achieve the long-term and stable development of scientific research institutes.
