Authorized by the Beijing municipal commission of tourism development and Mujiayu township government located in Miyun county, our team carry out the folk tourism planning work for four months at this village. On the basis of the study in these researches, this paper go on studying the development of the folk tourism activities in the Beijing suburbs regions, and regard the North Mujiayu village as the example, to study how to realize the development of folk tourism activities.Folk tourism in our country starts late, but in a short few decades has achieved rapid development. Thanks to Beijing huge tourist market and convenient traffic conditions, Beijing folk tourism activities are very popular. Only in2012, for example, the total folk tourism revenue in Beijing has been9.05hundred millions, travel times which tourists take part in folk tourism has been16.958million, and nearly18705households are engaged in folk tourism reception work, it is a huge market. Studying folk tourism research is not only beneficial to protect and carry forward the folk culture, but also to play a positive role in promoting the development of tourism in Beijing.Based on this, this article firstly in the introduction part mainly explains the research background and significance, including the theoretical and practical significance. Investigate the domestic and foreign research results and the research direction about "folk tourism" in recent years. By learning experiences and achievements of the scholars, put forward its own research questions, and to clarify the research framework and research methods of this article. The second chapter mainly study of Beijing suburbs folk tourism development, through studying the Beijing suburbs realistic significance of folk tourism activities, the development superiority and the market situation, concluded that we should vigorously develop Beijing folk tourism. And then analyze the present situation and development model about Beijing suburbs, finding out the existing problems in the development of folk tourism, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures. The third chapter mainly studies the North Mujiayu village geographical situation, the necessity of the development of folk tourism, and prospect analysis, it is concluded that the north Mujiayu village have the requirement of developing folk tourism, but there are a number of problems at present stage. In the fourth chapter puts forward the development train of thought on folk tourism in North Mujiayu village and the attentions when developing folk tourism. At the end of this article reviewed the content of the research for this article, spending the deficiency in this paper, and forecasting the future development about Beijing folk tourism.As North Mujiayu village in the early stages of development of folk tourism, and there exist some problems in the development, this article concludes that the village should fully integrate all resources, highlighting the hui nationality culture. Next, to win support from the various funds, including government financial support and proper introduction of private capital, or combined with enterprise development, solve the problem of shortage of funds in the early years. And then to develop a scientific plan of the development, this is the most important for the folk tourism sustainable development. In order to increase the retention time of the visitors, stimulate consumption, in addition to the development of special tourism products, also can develop with surrounding mature well-known scenic spots, mutual lose customers. Once again, want to notice to propaganda work, and in the process of propaganda to unified brand and unified slogan, reflect overall service quality and effect. Finally, strengthen the tourism professional talent team construction, through training, improve the level of reception and service quality.
