A Strategy Study On Accelerating The Development Of Red Tourism In Wuxiang

With people’s growing need of spiritual and cultural life, red tourism, as a kind ofemerging tourism product evolved from the education of revolutionary tradition,presents a strong development momentum in the country and becomes a new highlightof tourism. Located in the north of Changzhi city in Shanxi Province, with richresources of red tourism and Taihang Mountains’ revolutionary spirit, WuXiang countyis an old revolutionary base area of Taihang mountain, as famous as the revolutionarysites of Jinggangshan, Yan’an and Xibaipo. Since2008, WuXiang County intensifies thedevelopment of red tourism resources. With the introduction of "Two Gardens andOne Drama", the popularity and influence of the old revolutionary base area ofWuXiang is quickly promoted. WuXiang County has successively won the honorarytitles of "Chinese Red Culture and Leisure City","National Advanced Group of RedTourism","Advanced Unit of Development of Culture Industry in ShanXi", presentinggood development momentum. However, there exist many problems during theprocess of the development of red tourism, which limits the further development of redtourism in WuXiang County. In order to further improve the brand effect of redtourism in WuXiang County, promote the growth of the county’s economy, and realizethe sustainable development of tourism, the research of the development of red tourismin WuXiang County is of great significance.Based on the investigation and survey on red tourism in Wuxiang, Analysis thebasis conditions of the development of red tourism in Wuxiang, and on the basis ofanalysis the present situation and existing problems of red tourism in Wuxiang,discussed the Wuxiang red tourism development model, and puts forward the strategicconception of developing red tourism in Wuxiang. There are six chapters in this thesis.The first chapter introduces the background, significance, method and process of thisresearch and the development of red tourism research in the world. In the secondchapter, paper the elementary theories of red tourism development, Then the chapter3,Analysis the condition of red tourism development in Wuxiang County, and make aqualitative evaluation; In the following chapter4, For analysis the present situation of red tourism development in Wuxiang county and the existing problems; In chapter5,investigate the Red tourism development model. As the most important part of thisthesis, chapter6brings forth some strategic schemes of red tourism exploitation inWuxiang, in terms of the construction of tourism service system, system construction,integration of resources, innovative marketing mode, fund raising, industry integration,regional cooperation, and put forward a conception of promoting the development ofred tourism in Wuxiang.In a word, the author hopes that this research is useful for the red tourismdevelopment in Wuxiang.
