A Suitability Evaluation Of Cultivated Land For Multi-Purposes Use And Potential Investigation In Gong’an County

Land, as a kind of finite resource which cannot be replaced, is the basis of the survival of the people. And it is also a prerequisite for stable development of the country. It is the cornerstone to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.China has a vast territory with abundant resources. It has an area of vast land resource. However, it supports the1.3billion populations. Per-capita land in our country is much lower than the world average level. With the development of our economy, the process of urbanization in China is also gradually increasing. One of the outstanding characteristics is that the construction land is also gradually increasing with the development of urbanization. In new construction land, where most of the land from cultivated land, and a large number of which is high quality cultivated land. The man-land contradictions is intensified accordingly, governments and scholar increasingly attach great importance to food security.Cultivated land suitability evaluation is one kinds of land suitability evaluation. Through cultivated land suitability evaluation, we can totally know the suitability of the agricultural production, the land quality and the limiting factors. All of this can help us to understand the cultivated land better.This paper based on the theory of land suitability evaluation. Focus on making multi-objective suitability evaluation about Gong’an cultivated land. It mainly contains cultivated land integrative-suitability evaluation, development potential suitability evaluation, cultivated land suitable division and calculating cultivated land supply potential. Combined with a variety of evaluation results can make right decision to provide information support for land use planning.Chapter1and Chapter2This chapters mainly describes the background and significance of the research, the purpose and contents of the studies.Chapter3In this chapter, mainly introduce natural, economic and social feature of Gong’an.Chapter4This chapter is the main part of the paper. It mainly introduce the ways how to get the data about the cultivated land, including Kriging spatial interpolation methods, buffer analysis, GIS spatial interpolation methods etc. It also has introduced the way to determine the evaluation unit and index weight, get the score of each unit, then divide the suitability area. Chapter5This chapter has introduced the supply potential about cultivated land in Gong’an. Combine with the result of multi-objective suitability evaluation to provide information support for land use planning. It can enhance practicability of suitability evaluation.The last chapter This chapter has summarized achievement and the defect of the research. Then propose some suggestion for further research.
