Since the21st century, China’s logistics industry output value has been risen, now the logistics industry has become one of the important part of national economy. However, due to the short history of logistics industry in China, there is a large gap between developed countries and China. The industry as a whole presents the characteristics of small, scattered and disorderly, and nearly93%of the logistics enterprises are individual enterprises, they are often not scale, and with low efficiency, poor resource integration ability, and low ability to resist risk, which is the serious problem in logistics industry in our country. In fact, this is also the problem China’s important economic pillar-small and medium-sized enterprises are facing, which seriously restricts the development of our country’s economy.The concept of business model turned up with the rise of the Internet industry in the1990s, then received wide attention from all walks of life. In the beginning business model is considered enterprise management theory, later the concept of business model is widely discussed. Based on the existing research results, both the academy and industry have many different points of view in business model, which makes the research of business model still stay in definition phase. To explore the growth of the logistics enterprises, this paper base on the perspective of business model, study the multiple growth stage of a logistics enterprise to reveal the business model in the role of the logistics enterprises in the growth process. First the paper makes a review on the definition of business model, the elements of business model and business model innovation, then establishes a research framework of enterprise growth process in the basis of existing research, and then selects transfar logistics as the research object, at last conducts a longitudinal case through the method of interviews and data collection. Specifically, in this paper, the growing process can be divided into three phases, in each phase value proposition, value creation and value network three dimensions are studied and the process of the change is explored.In this paper, we get the following conclusions, first of all, the paper made clear that the concept of business model has great significance of enterprise growth; Secondly, the growing process of logistics enterprise can be thought of the process of dimension change; Thirdly, the logistics enterprise focuses on different dimensions of business model in its different phases. Finally, the growing process of enterprise is the result of combined internal and external factors.In addition, the innovation points of this paper are as follows, first of all, this paper set up a theoretical model of the evolution process in business model; Second, the paper combines business model with enterprise growth; Third, this paper is the business model research under the specific situation; Fourth, this paper makes internal explanation of enterprise growth in the perspective of business model; Fifth, this study is a new exploration in the research of logistics industry.
