Research On Coordinating Development Of Urbanization And Industrialization In Jinan

Urbanization and industrialization are the results of social development,which arecomplementary and both main driving forces of social development. During earlier time, peoplewere not aware of the relationship between them so that no effective links had beenestablished.As a result, many inevitable problems arose,including their slow speeds ofdevelopment. With the improvement of economy and society, people gradually realized that therewas a close link between these two, only when urbanization coordinated with industrializationcan they were favorable to promote the whole process of economical development. Whetherurbanization lagging behind the industrialization or urbanization staying ahead of theindustrialization,one will affect the other’s development, thereby affecting the pace of the wholesocial development.Jinan will become the regional central city in Chian in the near future.Its scope of radiationwill even reach the whole Shandong province,circum-Bohai-sea as well as North China.In fact,now the overall strength of Jinan is not strong enough to meet this need.It is well acknowledgedthat a country or a city’s economies is closely related to the relationship between urbanizationand industrialization,but the all-around relations between these two in Jinan are still laggingbehind other central cities.Therefore researchers should emphasize relevant studies on Jinan’surbanization and industrialization development, finding out the restricting factors, then putforward the countermeasures.The purposes in this thesis are to accelerate the speed of Jinaneconomic growth,to meet various demands of the important capital city and the national regionalcentral city.Based on the basic theory of urbanization and industrialization, the actual situations ofurbanization and industrialization in Jinan were analyzed,which reveal the development rules inrecent period. Besides the problems existing in the present stage were studied as the basis of thedevelopment of Jinan urbanization and industrialization. The core part of the article was to usethe international standard method and multi-index analysis method measured the coordinatinglevel of these two factors.The study found that,on the whole,the deviation between urbanizationand industrialization was continuously reduced and they were gradually coordinated.As thegovernments paid more attention to urbanization and numbers of practical measures are taken,theurbanization of Jinan is rapidly developed,while the development of industrialization is relativelyslow,which shows no obvious progress and has been unable to keep up with the developmentspeed of urbanization.Thus Jinan’s industrialization at present and even for a long period will lagbehind urbanization.In this paper,the calculation results of the coordinating relations between urbanization andindustrialization are analyzed in depth, and then several factors restricting coordinating degree ofthe two are summarized,including institutional factors, cultural factors, industrialization strategyfactors and so on. The paper proposed countermeasures:deepen the reform of the householdregistration and land systems,actively develop the industrialization ofagriculture,comprehensively arrange industrial planning and urban layout,narrow the gap of county level or promote coordinating regional development and so on.Finally, the coordinateddevelopment of urbanization and industrialization in Jinan are predicted.With the increasenumber of researches on the coordinated relations between the two,more mature and perfectmeasures will appear. Due to the joint efforts of all walks of life, the coordination degree of Jinanwill improve step by step in the long run.At the same time, Jinan’s economic strength areexpected to gradually increase and become a more and more significant city in China.
