| The purpose of this paper is to investigate into the impacts of risk management changes represented by the new international banking regulation, so called Basel III, on banking business model and results, and to further analyze the actions carried out by banks in order to mitigate the negative effects. Besides, a comparison will be conduct on Europe, US and China to better understand its implications at an international banking level.Apart from a theoretical background conducted throughout the history of banking regulation and correlated governance, we will focus especially our study into the analysis of business activities and evolving results of BNP Paribas, the largest French bank. These findings will be used to state on a European model, and to further compare with US and Chinese situations. |
