Flexible Production Module Introduced Into Multi-Product And Small Batch Production

By the motivation of current market demand, in order to meet mulitiple customer demand in a short time, multi-product and small batch production is the way to meet this requirement with the manufacturing change from mass production for few product typess. More and more manufactures are facing this change and begin to innovate in the production method to improve the overall competitiveness in the market.After study and analysis the specific points for the multi-product and small batch and read a lot of articles related to this topic from the research of foreign and domestic scholars, we found the flexible production module is very effective to improve the current production line status.This article is the pratice for A company PCBA production line.Firstly, we introduce the background of A company with its industrial, products and current manufacturing strategy, the change of production types is because of the strategy of company want to move some production from US and EU. We analyze the current PCBA production line from the labor of Hand soldering and equipments of SMT line and overall planning process and found out the issues can be improved by introduced the flexible production module.Then, as the theory of the flexible production module, we work out the ways how to improve the production line, by3ways:Multi-fucntion labor training, SMT line balance improve and changeover time reduction, optimization of the planning process.Finally, we practice the improvement actions to the real production line and monitor the result data for a time, after a quarter, we can get a positive improvement in overall PCBA line efficiency by improve the overall PCBA:line efficiency. So this practice is very meaningful for A company’s operation.
