Research On Export Technological Level In China’s Creative Products

Abstract/Summary:
In2011, the state issued a series of policies on creative industries. In2012, Eighteenth Congress stressed the importance of creative industries development again. Development of creative industries has been elevated to the national strategic level, but the research on the relationship between the creative industries and export trade are rare. Therefore, this paper using a new perspective of export technological level to research the international competitiveness issues of creative products trade. The research methods are complementary qualitative analysis and quantitative tests, combination of theoretical analysis and empirical. First of all, the paper studies the trend of creative products’export technological level; Second, it comparative analysis export technological level during Japan, China, Korea and India; Then, it empirical tests the factors affecting exports of China’s export technological level; Finally, it puts forward specific suggestions.After quantitative analysis the trend of China’s creative products’ export technological level, it concludes that China’s export technological level is rising, while the relative export technological level continues to decline. Then, it makes a further comparative research during Japan, China, Korea and India, forecasting the relative export technological level of four countries with gray GM (1,1) prediction model. It concludes that four countries’ creative products’ export technological levels are all rising, but the relative export technological levels continue to decline. This is due to the increasingly fierce competition of creative products trades, leading to the concentration reduce of global creative products trade. GM(1,1) prediction shows that except Korea, the relative technological level of the other three will continue to lower, because Korea make technological and innovation as the core driving force. Only draw on the advantages of Japan, Korea, India and other countries, can China enhance the international competitiveness of creative products trade.After qualitative explanation of the problems found, the paper makes a depth research on influence factors and influence degree of China’s export technological level. It combines with international trade theory, divides the influencing factors into traditional endowment factors and intellectual capital factors, and uses cointegration analysis to make the empirical test. The conclusion shows that, during traditional endowment factors, abundant natural resources is not conducive to enhancing the creative product exports technology level; the higher capital-labor ratio, the more likely the production and export the capital-intensive products which owns high-tech; large-scale promotion of the country to enhance the export of technology level; The current system of quality has the relatively limited impact on technology level. During intellectual capital factors, whether internal knowledge creation factors such as R&D expenditures and human capital or external knowledge transfer factors such as FDI and import trade are all have play a positive impact on the export technology level. But knowledge creation factors effect greater than the impact of knowledge transfer factors.Based on empirical results, the paper puts forward suggestions to enhance China’s trade technology level, such as increase policy efforts on guidance and support, especially the protection of intellectual property, promote the development of creative industry park and improve financing mechanisms of creative industries; Deep excavation the connotation of traditional culture, make the organic integration of traditional culture and international pop culture; Strengthen the training of local creative talent, and absorb the introduction of international best creative talent at the same time; Increase R&D investment on creative products, using the high-tech achievements to increase the technical content of creative products.
