The Study Of Export Quality Upgrading In China And Its Influencing Factors

Since the reform and opening of China’s economy, China’s export trade volume had been growing quickly.But the products of China’s export mainly composed by labor-intensive production. In recent years, with the continuous appreciation of the RMB and the rising of domestic labor costs, the low-price advantage of China’s export products in the international market has been weakened. In2009, due to the impact of the international financial crisis, exports of foreign trade growth rate dropped to-10.3%. The low-price advantage of China’s export products continue to weaken.In order to promote China’s foreign trade development level, great efforts must be made to improve the quality of China’s export products.This paper make the study of the quality of Chinese exports from the following two aspects:First, we measure the quality of China’s products that exports to the United States market during2001to2010based on Nested Logit Model.Then,We calculate the quality of China’s products from two aspects of absolute quality and relative quality.At the fifth chapter,this paper make the study of the relationship between exports quality and its influence factors.On this basis, this paper puts forward the conclusions and policy recommendations.This paper has two innovations:At first, It relax the hypothesis of the unit value represents the quality.And it use the Nested Logit model to calculate the quality of China’s exports,this is the innovation of research method.Secondly, this paper makes the study of the relationship between the quality of China’s exports and its influence factors from two aspects of absolute quality and relative quality. And this paper bring the proximity to the Quality as the influence factor of quality upgrading.
