In recent years, as some key projects,“The Construction of the Central City in theWest Bank of Pearl River Estuary”,“Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge” and “The TopTen Popular Projects", are steadily carried forward, it leads to the prosperity ofconstruction. The construction industry plays an important role in speeding up Zhuhaicity’s economic and social development, accelerating the construction of city andimproving living environment, etc. However, due to the widespread of illegal anddishonest behaviors in the construction field, the so-called illegal subcontracting andsubcontract has caused serious deterioration of credit environment in the constructionmarket. In recent years, due to the construction workers’ payroll issues and engineeringquality problems, mass incidents happens more and more frequently, which hasseriously affected the healthy development of the industry and the social harmony andstability. To build a comprehensive construction of credit evaluation system, to promotethe construction of credit environment, to promote the healthy and continuousdevelopment of the construction industry has become an impending problem forconstruction departments and professionals to study and solve.With the theme of improving the construction of credit system in the constructionindustry, the article centers on the connotation and characteristic of credit system in theconstruction industry and discusses about the current situation, problem andconstruction measures. It consists of five parts. The introduction firstly summarizes thepurpose and significance, the achievements of relevant studies in the world, and the idea,outlines and methods of the study. Secondly, based on the characteristic and connotation of the credit system, the article mainly analyzes the connotation of credit and creditsystem, the composition of construction industry and the features of operation and theconnotation and characteristics of credit system in the construction industry. In the thirdpart,“the basic framework and existing problems of credit system in Zhuhai’sconstruction industry”, it analyzes and draws conclusion on the current problems afterthe current credit system and basic framework is elaborated. The fourth part is thestrategy of improving the credit system in Zhuhai’s construction industry. According tothe existing problems, it puts forward the establishment of multi-evaluation system and"a daily review", the promotion of linkage between "construction site and biddingmarket", the strengthening of government propaganda and guidance, the standardizationof the government’s behavior in the field of engineering construction and othermeasures to strengthen and improve the construction industry credit system in Zhuhaicity.
