F corporation did the smart phone software ODM business with S customerfor three years, but there was no experience for project management and so the pro-ject always delayed and the cost over the budget and it caused the smart phone soldwas late and the price of the smart phone was high, which S customer complaintabout corporation was very serious about the situation because it caused the order ofthe smart phone lost and make a bad influence for the reputation of the F corporationand so F corporation make a decision to implement the scientific project manage-ment because the software project, there had scientific analysis method and a goodcontrol plan for the cost, the personnel,the schedule,the quality and the risk of theproject, and so it make sure that the cost, the schedule and the quality of the projectis completed successfully.Regarding to the project cost seriously over budget is the most concern of thecustomer in F corporation Smartphone software business, and so this paper focuseson what’s the root to make the project cost over the budget in the smart pone softwareproject. To analyzing and find the main reason is that the project manager didn’t im-plement scientific project management, such as didn’t do a more detailed workbreakdown for the software project, didn’t do a good job for workload scientific eval-uation in the software project, didn’t do the cost estimate and budget work for thesoftware project, and didn’t do a good work for the new requirements managementsof the project. Due to those work was not well done in project management and caus-es the project delayed, the cost of project increased and the customer complaints. From the research on the cost of F company KURURA software project,foundthat if you wanted to do a good job for the cost of mobile phone software projectmanagement and you must do a detailed work structure analysis of mobile phonesoftware project well, make full use of COCOMO II cost estimation model for soft-ware project of work to do evaluation, fully exploit and proper allocation of humanresources, project cost plan tracking and effective cost controlling, doing a good workfor project requirements changed, doing a good job of project cost control and re-al-time monitoring. At the same time, this paper applied F company’s own projectcontrol management software, which is developed to base on the project management,it is to share the project manager of a large amount of data statistics, data calculationand real-time remind of the work.This paper mainly focus on the situation of the software project cost manage-ment in F Corporation and find out are some problems in project cost management,put forward some valuable improvement advice.
