After joining the WTO, the openness of China’s agricultural market has becomemore and more deepening.In the context of the complex and volatile internationaleconomic environment, agricultural trade is facing unprecedented developmentopportunities and severe challenges. As a useful attempt about our rural productionand operation organizations mode in recent years, industrialization of agriculture hasadapted to the development requirements of the contemporary productive forces.Andit has important theoretical and practical significance to solve the "three rural" issuesas well as to enhance the international competitiveness of agricultural products inChina.Integrated the existing research progress, the literature is less which analysedeeply on how industrialization of agriculture affects the internationalcompetitiveness of agricultural products in our country.And the only researches stillstay in the level of qualitative analysis or theoretical arguments,which less involvedin a comprehensive and systematic empirical research. This paper attempts to combinethe basic theory and development status with regard to the agriculturalindustrialization and international competitiveness of agricultural products, and delveinto the mechanism of action how the agricultural industrialization affects theinternational competitiveness of agricultural products. At the same time, we proceedto build a comprehensive evaluation index system of the agricultural industrializationand a measure indicator of the international competitiveness of agricultural products.Based on Michael Porter’s "diamond" theory, this paper tries to establish an empiricalmodel to further analyse the action results which the industrial management ofagriculture affects the international competitiveness of agricultural products in ourcountry.The research results show that the ifve indicators which measure thedevelopment level of agricultural industrialization have produced a significantpositive impact on the international competitiveness of agricultural products. Amongthem, the degree of marketization of agricultural production and management, laborproductivity and agricultural capital investment had a more significant effect on thepromotion of the international competitiveness of agricultural products. While it hadnot been highlighted that the output efficiency of land resources and the development level of agricultural science&technology promoted the international competitivenessof agricultural products. Other influencing factors of the internationalcompetitiveness of agricultural products, such as the structure of import and exporttrade of agricultural products, government ifnancial support, as well as regionaleconomic opening degree had a positive impact on enhancing the internationalcompetitiveness of agricultural products. The effects which the market demandconditions and the operating costs of agriculture put on the internationalcompetitiveness of agricultural products were not significant. Based on theseconclusions, with the current reality of China’s agricultural and rural economicdevelopment,this paper proposed some policy recommendations from agriculturalproduction factors, market competitors and agricultural science&technologyinvestment in a targeted manner.
