| Since the1990s, venture investment in china is gradually developing and growing. It has characteristics of high-risk and high-yield, increasing the scale of capital and enhancing the capacity of investment. It has played an increasingly important role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of China’s small and medium enterprises, technological innovation and research. But at the same time, domestic venture industry is facing that the secondary market issue is blocked and ratio of earnings of the primary market investment projects is generally high. Whether the development of venture capital industries is health and smooth is faced with grim situation, therefore when we encourage venture capital, we also need to perform risk identification, tracking assessment and risk prevention, in order to be ready to take corrective measures to prevent and reduce the risk.This paper chose the venture capital firms-Hunan Xiangtou High-tech Capital Co., Ltd as the case company of which the scale of state-owned capital is largest in Hunan Province; with a non-ferrous metal smelting investment project of the company as the specific object of study. Based on in-depth analysis on the risk management theories, such as venture investment, the content and features of the project venture management, and the risk management operation mode of the venture capital firms, this paper conducted a comparative study of the actual risk situation before and after the investment in vanadium tungsten project, from three aspects of the investment project risk, which are risk analysis, risk assessment and risk response. Then, this paper found and put forward the deficiencies of relevant risk management work. Finally, this paper presented suggestions for improvement of project risk management from three aspects:establishing multi-project-related information channels, strengthening the comprehensive utilization of project risk analysis methods, and reforming the project post-investment management means. |
