A Research On The Relationship Between Agricultural Corporate Social Responsibility And Financial Performance

The early19th century, began to arise the concept of corporate socialresponsibility. Since then, the continuous development of the theory and practice ofcorporate social responsibility, and people gradually understand and accept it. Withthe business activities become more closely linked with the society, politics andeconomics. Corporate social responsibility is no longer just a moral issue, it alsorelates to the ability of the business to sustainable development. Currently, somecompanies still lack a sense of social responsibility, San Lu tainted milk incident,Master Kong "water gate" incident, and Meng Niu tampering production date of theevent, you can see that these companies only focus on financial performance whileignoring the social benefits.It has produced serious social consequence. As theseagricultural enterprises, lack of social responsibility, have cause a lot of problems.The correlation about the agricultural corporate social responsibility and financialperformance less in the past.Based on the needs of theory and practice, and literature through access tocorporate social responsibility and financial performance, to explore the issues ofagricultural enterprises to take social responsibility and financial performance.Collecting the data of the2007-2010agricultural listed companies, throughstakeholder theory and the analysis of the enterprise symbiosis theory, formulatinghypotheses, building a multiple regression model. T-test using SPSS softwaredescriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis of the data and the regressionequation of the overall inspection with a single parameter.The study results show that, first, agricultural enterprises, the vast majority ofstakeholders committed to social responsibility, such as consumers, employees,shareholders, creditors, suppliers and the government can improve the financialperformance of the enterprise. Second, the relationship between the donation ofcorporate commitment to the community, responsibility and financial performance isnot obvious. Third, the asset size has little effect on performance. Providing a basisfor the conclusion of the paper is to promote the steady development of agriculture inChina. Agriculture as a primary industry in China, has a strong external positive effect.Therefore, the study of agricultural social responsibility has a special significance.
