| Since1980s, the rapid development of the capital market which is based on financial system changed the traditional financial structure of America. Shadow banks gradually transcend traditional banks, becoming an important part of the financial system in American."Shadow banks" is considered to be the arch-criminal international financial crisis in2008, after the crisis has become the focus of global financial regulation. Since the end of2012, the risk of shadow banks in China also attracted widespread attention at home and abroad, more and more concern. But the concept of "shadow banking" in China lacks clearly definition, and the understanding of its composition and scale is also in chaos, full of controversy and disagreement. The risk identification is also significantly different in regulatory policy, which is the reason for no supervision.This paper discusses the concept and character of shadow banking system, on this basis, defining the scope of China’s shadow banks, and estimating China’s shadow banks scale of2006-2012. This paper analyses the risks existing in China’s shadow banking system, on the one hand, the shadow banks increase systemic risk of commercial banks, weakened the central bank’s monetary policy effect; on the other hand, it also exists the liquidity, leverage, maturity mismatches and regulatory arbitrage financial risk. Therefore, in order to exert the positive effect of the shadow banking system, we must analyze the risk status, and propose related regulations, encouraging and supporting the steady development of the shadow banks in our country. |
