The competition between insurance companies is the comprehensive ability to achieve it s business goals in the same market environment and the same industry. The business goal of insurance company is satisfied with the maximum benefit of related party (customer, manag ement personnel, investor and all person) and create safety, steady and continuous develop a nd exist environment for company itself.China Life Insurance is a large central enterprise which operates life insurance and prop erty insurance, the operating efficiency has ascended the top spot is domestic life insurance market and, selected as "World Top500Brands" for six consecutive years. In recent years, f oreign life insurance companies start to participate in the competition in the domestic market and it results in oversupply and the insufficient demand in insurance market. With the gradu al opening up of the insurance market in China and foreign insurance companies stationing, t he competition between the life insurance companies increased. China Life is facing tough c hallenges in the development especial in the operation and management, the traditional mode of competition, corporate culture construction drain frequent. The development of China’s li fe insurance companies faced enormous challenges and opportunities and meanwhile how to consolidate the fruits of development and maintain a competitive advantage to find the corre ct way to enhance their competitiveness is the most important.This article described the development status of the life insurance industry at home and abroad, and carried out a careful comparative analysis of the strengths and weaknesses betwe en China Life at home and abroad. Analysis and research the problem should be noted in ins urance market competition analysis and present their views to ensure the stable and healthy d evelopment of China Life Insurance Company.
