| Studies of urban economic theory has shown that, the occurrence and development of urbanization is driven by three major forces, agricultural development, industrialization and the rise of the tertiary industry, and with the deepening of the process of urbanization, these three forces are in a dominant position in turn. Urbanization is an objective law in the process of economic and social development, not of man’s will, and it is also the necessary reflection of the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure in the geographical space.Urbanization is a sign of the level of economic development of a country or region. Worldwide experience shows that the industry is the direct cause of the development of urbanization. The tertiary industry will replace the industry and become the main driving force of the development of urbanization in a certain economic development stage. At the same time, urbanization is also a very important impact on the tertiary industry, urbanization is a strong cornerstone for the development of the tertiary industry and the tertiary industry is the economic source and powerful driving force of urbanization. The level of urbanization is now on the upswing and the development of the tertiary industry is gradually accelerating in Shandong Province. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to ascertain the development conditions of the urbanization and tertiary industry of Shandong Province and study the interaction between the urbanization and the tertiary industry, for speeding up the pace of urbanization, optimizing the tertiary industry structure, and promoting the rapid and healthy development of the tertiary industry.This article, using the interaction theory between the urbanization and industrial structure evolution as a theoretical basis, analyzes the interaction between the urbanization and the tertiary industry, and gives some specific description and analysis on the current development status and process of the urbanization and the tertiary industry in Shandong Province. Basing on the data between1981-2010, using co-integration test, regression analysis and Granger test methods to study the interaction between urbanization and the tertiary industry from the perspective of time, conclusion comes that there is a long-term stable relationship and also a significant long-term bi-directional Granger causality between the urbanization and the tertiary industry in Shandong. Selecting a appropriate time cross-section and analyzing the interaction between the urbanization and the tertiary industry from the angle of space, conclusion is that the level of urbanization and the proportion of tertiary industry changes in the same direction. This article, using gray relational analysis method, Studies the relationship between urbanization and tertiary industry at all levels, and analyzes the interactive development relations between the urbanization of the the tertiary industry in the regions of Shandong Province specifically. Finally, some specific suggestions are offered about the development of the urbanization and the tertiary industry in Shandong Province. |
