With the development of global economy, the competitions among enterprises have been shifted to that between supply chains, so people attach more and more attention to the design of supply chain. Always, the design of supply chain begins when the product design is completed. However, some case studies proved out that there were some interactions between design of product and that of supply chain. As a result, it becomes a hot while difficult issue that how to ensure the designs of products and supply chain match efficiently. Therefore, this thesis will make a further research of the product structure and design problems of the supply chain configurations synchronization based on the previous studies.This thesis discussed product design and supply chain design at the theoretical level, and analyzed design methods and processes of them and other issues. Through literature research, the author also analyzed the impacts between the product design factors the supply chain as well as summarized the result. Focusing on the synchronized design of product structure and supply chain configuration, the thesis presented a process to deal with it. Firstly, a mixed integer programming model under the presumption that the demand was determined is constructed to get the best combination between synchronized product structure and supply chain configuration. This method took the limited capabilities of supplier into consideration and designed a priority based on the genetic algorithms to solve the model. Then it considered a further expansion in case of demand is uncertain, where a triangular fuzzy numbers was utilized to depict the uncertain demand, and the thesis solved it by changing the fuzzy objective function and constraints into equivalent deterministic model.Finally, the thesis tested and verified the above method by a numerical example and disused it. The numerical example supposed that a triangular fuzzy distribution indicating the market demand and other relevant factors were all known, and then explored the best combination between product structure and supply chain configurations. In addition, the thesis had a sensitivity analysis of lead time and demand, and the numerical results show the effectiveness of the proposed model and method.
