Mechanism And Path Of The Yangtze River Delta City Group To Achieve Integration

As the global urban agglomeration develop rapidly, its integration has become one of the main trends in the regional integration process, and produces a profound influence on global political and economic structure. As a result, the Integration Mechanism of Urban Agglomerations is gradually becoming an important content of the national development strategy. However, a number of regional problems have arisen with the continuous integration process, which has become an obstacle to further urban agglomeration. Therefore, some key issues-such as how to establish the Integration Mechanism of Urban Agglomerations, how to optimize the spatial layout of urban agglomeration, and how to coordinate its further development-has become the cutting edge research topics with both theoretical and practical significance. Based on above, this paper attempts to construct a coordination mechanism for the integration of urban agglomeration, and to explore its overall framework and development path under the current regional integration development situation. Through the research, this paper aims to deepen the urban agglomerations development theory from multi-disciplinary perspective, and to provide some feasible policy suggestion.This paper consists of six parts. Firstly, review domestic and international research on urban agglomerations and its integration mechanism, so as to form the paper’s research direction and framework. Secondly, define and outline the Integration Mechanism of Urban Agglomerations. Thirdly, compare different urban agglomerations integration development model both at home and abroad, then summarize its regularity and characteristics. Fourthly, describe the status quo of the urban agglomerations in Yangtze River Delta, conduct empirical research, and raise its problems. Finally, respectively analyzes the sub-integration mechanisms of the Yangtze River Delta in order to verify the Integration Mechanism of Urban Agglomerations, and then propose the development path and policy suggestions.The paper establishes the framework of the Integration Mechanism of Urban Agglomerations, which is composed by the interests mechanism, the drive mechanism, the link mechanism and the guided mechanism. In concrete terms, the interests mechanism plays the source and guide role, and it includes incentives mechanism, information transmission mechanism, and benefit-sharing mechanism. The drive mechanism takes charge of promoting the whole integration mechanism directly, and it contains development standpoints, development powers and means of support. The link mechanism is applied to summarize and express the relationship between cities, and is composed by the value chain, industrial chain and space chain. The guided mechanism aims to assist and guide, and it can be divided into promoting mechanism and suppressing mechanism. Based on the above, this paper presents the development path of the Integration Mechanism of Urban Agglomerations as following:to construct reasonable interest mechanism, to coordinate drive mechanisms, to optimize link mechanism and to regulate guided mechanisms.
