| It is an inevitable choice for a country or area to accelerate urbanization process and construct urban agglomeration. Urban agglomeration is entering a new development stage. Foreign researches on urban agglomeration have perfected, china's urban agglomeration is accelerating also. Based on the macro background of the unbalanced development of regional economy and the imperative development of urbanization, it is very urgent to make a study on our country's urban agglomeration.The Drive Mechanism of urban agglomeration formation is analyzed in Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations area mainly. Firstly, the thesis makes a definition to Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations. Adopting both quantitative and qualitative means, the thesis analyzes the drive mechanism formation's divided impetus of peninsula urban agglomeration primarily (from part two to part five). Secondly, based on the divided impetus analysis, a model is built to make a comprehensive analysis (part six). Finally, we provide some countermeasures and suggestion to accelerate the development in Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations area (part seven).The first part is the introduction. Begin with, a comprehensive review on status of domestic and foreign urban agglomeration is made. Then, a definition on Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations is provided also. In the end, we describe the paper's technical routes.The second part is the study on environment working force of urban agglomeration formation. This part consists of three parts, which are natural motivation, historical applied force and international exciting force. Among of the three parts, natural motivation comprises geographical location, natural conditions and natural resources again. Through this part's analysis, we clearly recognize that environment working force will play a very important role on Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations formation, which is helpful to industrial development also.The third part deals with industry development driving force of urban agglomeration formation. Study on this part is the thesis's key. From static to dynamic, we adopt quantitative and qualitative mean, analyze the influence of industrial-scale enlarging and industrial restructuring on Shandong peninsula urban agglomeration formation profoundly. Finally, we point that industrial cluster will become an important manifestation gradually.The forth part pays more attentions on spatial Structure beneficial expansionary force of urban agglomeration formation. This part consists of three parts, which are scales efficiency, gathering and diffusing efficiency, internet efficiency. This part is the key to the thesis also. Taking the Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations as a main Example, the part regards qualitative analysis as major means, anticipates having new breakthrough to quantitative analysis, makes a systemic analysis on spatial structure beneficial expansionary force—from a comprehensive subjects view.The fifth Part is the institutional analyses of urban agglomeration formation. Combining the recent decisions, policies, planning and measures of Shandong peninsula urban agglomerations, we analyze policy effects of different distract, so as to explain the institutional function to urban agglomeration formation.The sixth part is comprehensive assessment of the Drive Mechanism of urban agglomeration formation.
