| Since the30years’reforming and opening, China’s economy has achieved great success, and people’s living standard has been significantly improved. Meanwhile, the income gap between resident is widening, and it has been drawn wide attention. A certain degree of income gap within the process of economic development is a universal phenomenon, but if we do nothing with this widening income gap, and bring it to the desperate point. The income gap will become the obstacle to the social and economic development, and then it may also produce negative influence on the socialist modernization process.This article is devoted to exploring the appropriate income gap of China. Considering the economic growth, the efficient allocation of resource and the social fairness and stability three aspects help us make accurate evaluation of the income gap appropriateness. The specific research methods as following:Firstly, considering the advantages of Gini index, Theil index and CV in measuring the income gap, we use these three sub-indexes to establish the income gap metric system. Secondly, based on the economic growth, the efficient allocation of resource and the social fairness and stability three aspects, we establish a four-layer covering34sub-indexes evaluation system—the index of the society and economy coordinated development. Thirdly, by building the coordination model between the income gap index and the index of the society and economy coordinated development (evaluation index of economic growth, evaluation index of resource allocation efficiency and evaluation index of social fairness and stability), in order to estimating of the1993-2011income gap appropriateness. And the results display that current income gap is relatively coordinated with social and economic development. Finally, according to the international classification standard of coordination degree, we set the0.95(the lowest value of the "moderate") as the lower threshold, and then based on the relevant statistical methods, we can get a reasonable interval of Gini index.Form the above empirical analysis, current income gap of our country is relatively coordinated with social and economic development. But after entering the21st century, the vast majority of China’s Gini values falls on the right side of the reasonable interval [0.35,0.40],which indicates that the income gap is slightly larger. If we let it alone or don’t take any measures, the income gap will inevitably conflict with the social and economic development. So in the end of this article, based on China’s current status, we creatively put forward the"One main wings" combination policy which can help narrow the income gap to its reasonable interval. |
