Research On Export Impact On Economic Development In Hebei Province

A country’s economic growth mainly depends on investment demand,consumptiondemand and export demand. When other condition remains unchanged, increasing exportscould expand aggregate demand through the multiplier effect, thus promoting economicgrowth. So our country take the export-oriented policy as one of our economic strategy. Andexport trade plays an important role in China’s economic developing. Hebei Province havealso been attaches great importance to the development of export trade,but the small totalexport amount,the irrational export structure and the excessive concentration of market resultin the contribution degree of export trade to Hebei’s economic is not high. So, studying thecurrent situation of the export trade in Hebei Province, the existence question,the relationshipbetween the export and economic growth of Hebei Province and putting forwardcorresponding countermeasures on the basis has very important practical significance.First of all, this article analyzes the present situation and the existence question of exporttrade from the scale of export trade, export trade mode, export market structure and otherrespects. Generally speaking,the the present situation is:the growth rate of export trade isrising, total processing trade is increasing, mechanical and high-tech exports have been themain force, total exports are rising in emerging markets, private enterprises exports aredeveloping rapidly.At the same time, Hebei Province exports have many problems: the totalexport amount is small, export commodity structure has to be optimized, the proportion ofprocessing trade is too low, low degree of export market diversification and the export entitiesare unreasonable. Based on these studies, this article uses Co-integration Analysis, ErrorCorrection Model and Granger Causality Test and other methods to empirically analysis theexport trade’s impact on economic development in Hebei Province. The empirical resultsshow that there existed stable equilibrium relationship between trade and economicdevelopment both the long-term and short-term,but but the correlation is weak; there existedbidirectional causal relationship between exports and economic growth in Hebei Province.Finally, combined with the disadvantages existing in the export this article puts forward some realistic suggestions,such as actively developing processing trade, optimizing export structurein Hebei Province, promoting “market diversification”, deepening the reform of foreign tradeentities, Implementing brand strategy, to vigorously cultivate excellent foreign trade personneland other suggestions.
