MES (Manufacturing Execution System, MES) is a workshop managementinformation system between upper plan management system and bottom industrial control.The purpose is to solve limitations and shortcomings of MRPII (or ERP) system in theproduction management effectively, and it can collect data from the underlying productionprocess controlling system in real time to improve the flexibility and real-time planning.According to the product characteristics of diesel engine enterprise and productionmanagement modes of most enterprises, we launched research on MES of the diesel engineenterprise based on the mixed manufacturing mode of lean production and agilemanufacturing. Because the job shop scheduling problem is one of the bottlenecks of MESbased on the mixed manufacturing mode of lean production and agile manufacturing, in thispaper, a scheduling strategy is presented for mixed production mod combining with thescheduling process of diesel engine enterprises. For the deterministic production task, inorder to reduce the completion time, to reduce the inter-cell movement and adjustment costs,we set up a multiple target scheduling model, and solved the problem by using theappropriate algorithm so as to meet the delivery date, to improve the utilization rate ofequipments and to reduce the cost. At the same time, for the uncertain production tasks, wefirst considered to construct a virtual production unit to organize production rapidly in thepremise of not moving the production equipments. Because of the unconventional tasks,when we decompensate detailed operational plan, we used the ASP intelligent schedulingmethod. After we schedule the nondeterministic production task reasonably, the dynamicscheduling mechanism was used to assign the task to the corresponding processing center.The scheduling strategy played the role of a agile manufacturing, and it makes the dieselengine enterprises organize production quickly, response to the market demand quickly inthe face of uncertainty production tasks.Based on the solution of bottleneck technology of MES——Shop scheduling, wediscussed MES overall. We analyzed the common needs of MES in the mixed model for thediesel, and then we put forward the general framework and basic function modules. In orderto apply MES system in mixed model diesel engine enterprises, we further analyzed specific needs for A diesel engine plant, and provided MES solutions.
